Our holiday home combines rustic Alpine charm with modern comfort: an inviting living and dining area with a traditional tiled stove and large windows facing the mountains, a separate TV lounge to retreat to, and cosy bedrooms under the roof.
Wood-panelled walls, dark beams, sheepskins on the bench and the scent of pine – Bergnest isn’t a hotel room, it’s a home for a while. Cook together, play games at the big table and swap stories by the warm stove in the evening.

Laterns – the quiet valley
The small mountain village of Laterns (6830) lies in the Laterns Valley in the heart of Vorarlberg, Austria’s westernmost province. Made up of Laterns-Thal, Bonacker and Innerlaterns, it stretches for about eight kilometres, framed by the distinctive peaks of the Laterns mountains. Bergnest is in Innerlaterns – your holiday starts right at the front door.

Getting here
- By car
Via the A14 motorway (Rhine Valley) to Rankweil, then up the Laterns Valley to Innerlaterns. Parking right at the house. In summer also via the Furkajoch pass from the Bregenzerwald.

By train to Rankweil or Feldkirch, then take the regional bus (Landbus) into the Laterns Valley.

Getting around Vorarlberg with the Guest Card
The Guest Card for Explorers is your mobility ticket: as an overnight guest you travel on all buses and trains of the Vorarlberg transport association at no extra cost, as it is funded by the tourist tax.

How many people can stay at Bergnest?
The holiday home sleeps up to 8 guests: two bedrooms with a double bed and a kids’ room with two bunk beds (4 sleeping places). There are also two living rooms, a bathroom with tub and shower, and a separate WC.
Where exactly is the holiday home?
Bergnest is at Hofstraße 13 in Innerlaterns, 6830 Laterns, in the Laterns Valley in Vorarlberg, Austria – at around 1,100 m above sea level and only about 50 m from the Laterns-Gapfohl ski lift.
How much does a night cost?
Adults and teens aged 15+ pay €75 per night, children aged 7 to 14 pay €30 per night, and children under 7 stay free. Final cleaning is a one-off €150, plus the municipal tourist tax.
How does booking work?
Send us a non-binding enquiry via the form. We check availability, confirm the price and details personally by email, and send you a booking confirmation. As you book directly with the host, there are no platform fees.
Is the house suitable for families with small children?
Absolutely. We provide a cot, high chair and stair gate on request, the kids’ room has four sleeping places, and there is plenty of nature around the house to play in.
How far is it to the ski area?
The family ski area Laterns-Gapfohl is only about 50 m – a two-minute walk – from the house. Skis can be stored in the house and there is ski rental nearby.
Is there Wi-Fi and parking?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and there is a parking space right at the house.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2 pm, check-out by 12 noon. Please let us know your approximate arrival time in advance.
Are pets allowed?
Please ask us before booking whether your pet can come along – we’re happy to clarify this personally case by case. It’s best to mention it in your enquiry.
Are hen or stag parties possible?
No. We’re sorry, but we cannot accommodate hen or stag parties or similar celebrations at Bergnest – the house is a quiet home away from home for families and friends.
